I tried Amy's light painting technique with my Matryoshkas, but they turned out looking ghostly due to the fact that I was using an LED fashlight (giving the eerie glow) and that I couldn't get a sharp point of light. My brush was too broad, as it were.
I held a piece of black paper over the flash light with a small hole. With a LED light you would need to change your white balance setting. I'm going to try an LED light too, I think if you channel it you could get a cool effect. A china doll would be cool!
